Make a Pocket Altar or Shrine

A pocket altar is a small, scared space designed to be carried in a bag or pocket for prayer, meditation or grounding.  A shrine is the same design but made to hang on a wall. Both pocket altars and shrines are a perfect use for treasured material, fancy material and tiny keepsakes including photos.  Designed with intention they bring a quiet beauty and joy into your life. 

In previous classes folks have made pocket altars to remember departed ones we love, to honor the inner child, to remember a beloved pet, for protection and to honor a goddess Working with others while making your individual piece creates a lovely bond.

You do need some experience with a sewing machine.  The class is held in our sewing studio which is filled with "stuff".  We have fabric, trims, buttons, etc, etc, etc.  You are also welcome to bring anything you might want to incorporate.

This is an all day class and I'll do an easy lunch and snacks to keep our energy flowing.

I've done "tiered" pricing to reflect our current economy.  You might be charged postage but when your order goes through I'll refund the amount.  I also have one scholarship available for $5.00.  Again you will be charged for postage but it will be refunded after the order goes through.  It's very difficult with my low tech skills and big ideas to get websites to do what I want and I am not using AI to help because it's creepy and kind of evil.  Thank you for understanding.
